2015 was another big year for Union Metrics. We’re so proud of all the work the team put in this year, from shipping brand new functionality to updating and enhancing existing features, as well as spending time giving back to the community and relaxing outside the office. We wanted to take some time before the holidays to look back on 2015 before we look forward to 2016.
In June, we rolled out our updated Social Suite, with brand new Facebook analytics and our multi-channel social reporting to make monitoring your full social media strategy easier than ever before. The Union Metrics Social Suite continues to get better and better.
Just a few weeks ago, we released a huge Twitter Tracker update, improving both how our Twitter Trackers look and how they work. That’s available now to anyone using single-channel TweetReach Pro or on our Social Suite. And that’s on top of the upgraded our Twitter analytics dashboard, with an all-new insight stream that we launched back in March. We also added automatic 30-day data backfill for new Trackers a couple months ago. If you haven’t taken a look at our Twitter analytics lately, now is a good time to see what’s new.
And the Twitter updates didn’t stop there. October brought the launch of Union Metrics Echo, our fully interactive Twitter archive search. Echo was the first of its kind, and allows our Social Suite subscribers to instantly explore and analyze the full Twitter archive.
And we didn’t leave TweetReach out! A few months ago, we doubled the tweets in free TweetReach snapshot reports from 50 to 100.
We also upgraded our Tumblr analytics earlier this year, with a new Tumblr analytics dashboard and more comprehensive Tracker engagement reports. And last month we updated our SMB subscriptions, giving our single-channel Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram analytics a nice new makeover, updated UI and easier-to-navigate Tracker listing.
In addition to all this work, we took time to give back to our communities and play a little after work. We had a great holiday party with the whole company to kick off the year. Everyone in SF flew to Austin for fun at Easy Tiger.
We also attended (and often spoke at) a ton of conferences, including SXSW, Dreamforce, SocialPro, RubyConf, ChefConf, Visualized, Digital Hollywood, Big Boulder, OpenVis and more.
We grew our team, welcoming lots of smart new people to our crew. That includes our new VP of Engineering, Adam Seever, who joined us just in time to kick off some big fall projects and enjoy our Summer Fun Day.
We spent time volunteering in our respective communities, getting to know one another and our offices through our Union Metrics Employee Exchange Program, and enjoying monthly game nights and happy hours alongside our Friday team lunches.
Our CEO Hayes Davis appeared on Bloomberg Business to talk Project Lightning, which later became Twitter Moments. We published articles in AdWeek’s Social Times, MediaPost, MarketingProfs, started a new regular column on The Drum, and had our data featured in Forbes, The LA Times, AdAge, Billboard, Adweek, Inc, ClickZ, CNET, and so much more.
2015 was a wildly productive – and fun year – at Union Metrics. Thank you for being here with us throughout it all. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got in store for you in 2016 and beyond.
